Kenneth Mackenzie Ltd is the oldest Harris Tweed mill in operation today, having opened in 1906 and is currently the only Harris Tweed mill to be independently owned and operated entirely in The Western Isles

  • Uniquely blended wool

All of our wool is dyed before the carding and spinning process, meaning each thread of yarn can have an intricate blend of colours, combining to create the overall hue without losing the original mix of shades.

  • Premium Quality Yarn

From The Kenneth Mackenzie Ltd Mill in the heart of Stornoway our exclusive yarn is carded and spun to closely controlled parameters. This attention to detail provides the same premium quality with each batch.

  • Refined for Balance

By combining our premium lightweight yarn with an increased number of picks in the weave, we produce a Harris Tweed that is suitable for everything from jackets, soft furnishings, caps and hats to collars and coats for dogs and cats!

A Modern Finish

All Harris Tweed by Kenneth Mackenzie Ltd is finished using state of the art finishing machinery. This process paired with our exclusive yarn creates a finish that is soft, smooth and forms a reflective sheen on the face of our Harris Tweed.

Not only does this make for a more desirable texture and appearance, it improves the abrasion resistance of our Harris Tweed to make sure our cloth truly stands the test of time.

  • Wholesale Suppliers

We adhere to a carefully curated range of patterns. This allows us to produce batches of our exclusive yarn to be handwoven by independent weavers in quantities that meet the demands of customers looking to mass produce their items with our Harris Tweed. Each customer has a dedicated Account Manager to help us better understand and serve the needs of your business.
